Homemade Pizza

Pizza Dough:

  • 3 cups of flour

  • 1 package of fast rising yeast

  • 1 cup of warm water

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

  • 1 tsp of rosemary (optional)

Pizza Toppings:

  • 1 cup of cooked mushrooms

  • 2 slices of herb provolone violife cheese

  • 6 tbsp Kitehill ricotta cheese

  • 1 bunch of basil leaves

  • 1 roma tomato

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tsp of garlic seasoning

  • 1 tsp of crushed red pepper

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees. In a bowl combine the salt, flour, and yeast. Mix until well combined. Add in 1 cup of warm water and kneed the dough for about five minutes. Cover the bowl of dough and wait for 10 minutes. Place the dough on a parchment lined cookie sheet and roll it out. Cook in the oven for 10 minutes.

While the dough is cooking sauté the mushrooms until they are well cooked. Remove from the stove and set aside. Slice the roma tomatoes and set aside. Pull the pizza from the oven. Cut the provolone into pieces and place them all over the dough. Add the slices of tomatoes to the top of the dough. Then add the mushrooms and basil leaves. Dollop the ricotta cheese across the dough. Then sprinkle the salt and pepper, garlic, and red pepper on top. Cook in the oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. 

Pul from the oven and let cool for five minutes and then serve.
