The Benefits of Matcha

I gave up coffee after I had a stomach bug and couldn't keep it down. After that sickness my love affair with coffee was never the same again. I would get a matcha latte every so often and I decided to incorporate that into my mornings instead. I didn't realize the benefits of matcha until after I had started drinking it regularly.


But first, what is matcha? "Matcha Green Tea is the highest quality powdered green tea available. Made from the nutrient-rich young leaves picked from the tips of shade-grown Camellia sinensis plants, Matcha Green Tea is steamed, stemmed, and de-vined before being stone-ground into very fine powder. I make my own matcha lattes by combining almond milk, 1 tsp of powdered matcha, and 1 tbsp of maple syrup. You can put all of these things in a pot and whisk them up to a frothy green latte. Try to incorporate some matcha into your life and reap some health benefits!
