Fatigue, dizziness, mycotoxin, and constipation case study

This case involved a 19-year-old presenting with persistent digestive symptoms, acne, fatigue, and brain fog that had been present since early childhood. Previous approaches had provided limited improvement, prompting a more comprehensive functional nutrition and neuroscience-informed evaluation.

Care began with targeted laboratory testing to identify underlying contributors. Findings suggested gut dysbiosis, inflammatory patterns, and nutrient imbalances affecting both digestive function and overall energy regulation. An individualized plan was developed focusing on nutrition stabilization, targeted supplementation, sleep support, and gradual restoration of digestive balance.

Interventions were introduced in stages to support tolerance and avoid overwhelm. Monthly follow-ups allowed ongoing assessment of symptom changes and refinement of recommendations. Over several months, the client reported improved bowel regularity, better energy stability, clearer skin, and improved tolerance to previously problematic foods.

While continued monitoring and maintenance support were recommended, this case illustrates how addressing gut health, nutrient status, and nervous system regulation together can support meaningful improvement in young adults with complex, longstanding symptoms.
